What do we do best
A Strange World: We are creating a universe of characters such as Detective Dino and Mr. Chonk the Strange cat. We combine these characters with our ceramics to create whimsical yet functional pieces that create an emotional bond with everyday pieces.
Sustainable: We exclusively use local clay and natural dyes in our products, and design our pieces to be efficient for home use. This makes our products not only beautiful and unique, but also good for the planet.
Hi! I'm Satabdi, the Founder of The Strange Co. While my journey into the world of art began with classical dancing, where I learned to appreciate the beauty and expressiveness of movement, it was my love for the nature of clay - its rawness and ability to bring out emotions - that ultimately inspired me to create The Strange Co.
I draw inspiration from conversations in every day life to create The Strange World, a universe of quirky and misfit characters, each with a unique story to tell. The Strange Co is a fusion of this world of characters with the functional world of everyday pieces handcrafted with love.
